How to Build a Canoe from Scratch In-Person
Come hear how Callicoon Center resident Doug Woods built a cedar strip canoe from scratch! Doug will show photos of the process, from shopping for lumber in Vermont to his wife's caning of the seats to the fiber glass finishing. It was a labor of love that took over his house .... and his family.The 16 foot canoe will be on display for all to see!
